Mahindra 3XO Revx Reloaded: Fresh Twist on a Fan-Favorite SUV

Mahindra 3XO Revx Series – Can These New Variants Win 2025 Too?

When Mahindra launched the 3XO, it didn’t take long for it to become a massive hit. Within the first 60 minutes, 500 units were booked. Over the next 11 months, the company sold nearly 1 lakh vehicles — a clear sign that this SUV struck the right chord with buyers.

And to top it off, the 3XO even bagged the “Car of the Year” award in 2025, thanks to its smart design, great performance, and value-for-money package.

But now, Mahindra wants to keep riding that wave. Instead of making major changes to the 3XO, the company has introduced new variants under a new badge — Revx.

What’s New in the Revx Line-Up?

Mahindra has launched three new variants under the Revvx badge:

  • Revx M

  • Revx M Optional

  • Revx A

These have been placed strategically in the existing variant ladder. The M and M Optional sit right after the MX1 and MX2 trims. The Revx A, on the other hand, is positioned between the AX5 and AX5L variants.

So, if you were considering the base models like MX1 or MX2, with a slight budget stretch, you can now opt for Revx M and get a much more feature-packed experience.

These two entry-level Revx trims come with several features that you wouldn’t usually expect in base variants. Take the black leatherette seats, for instance — a rare sight in budget trims. You also get a body-coloured gunmetal grille, a dual-tone roof, and turn indicators integrated into the ORVMs — all contributing to a more upmarket appearance.

The headlights are halogen bi-projectors, and both variants get 16-inch wheels. Revx M comes with wheel caps, while Revvx A gets premium piano-black finished alloy wheels.

On the rear profile, you’ll find standard features like a spoiler-mounted stop lamp, defogger, wiper, and a connected tail-lamp setup (although in M trims, the connected design is removed). There are also two parking sensors and a regular antenna.

Interiors: Space, Features & a Premium Feel

Step inside, and the Revx M and M Optional variants give you an all-black interior, while the Revx A gets a more premium black and ivory dual-tone theme. The ivory shade helps the cabin feel wider and airier, especially with that panoramic sunroof on the A variant.

Power windows are available on all four doors. The silver door handles, bottle holders, rear AC vents, Type-C charging ports, and 12V socket — all make for a comfortable and well-thought-out cabin.

Height-adjustable driver seat, steering-mounted controls (limited in M variants), and good seat cushioning make for a pleasant drive. Rear-seat comfort is impressive too, with ample legroom and headroom.

The Revvx A variant features a fully digital instrument cluster, while the M variants get an analogue setup.

The infotainment system is impressive, responsive and sleek. While the display size is the same across variants, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are only available in Revx A. The M trims come with a 4-speaker setup and a basic infotainment interface.

Safety: Mahindra Doesn’t Cut Corners

All Revx variants come loaded with essential safety features — 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, ISOFIX child seat mounts — the full suite.

Since the original 3XO — including the MX and AX series — received a 5-star safety rating under BNCAP, it’s fair to expect that the new Revx variants will uphold the same level of safety.

That said, some features do feel missing — 360° camera is not available even in Revx A, where it really should have been. And ADAS features are still limited to top-end AX7 L variants.

Final Verdict: Which Variant Should You Pick?

If you’re eyeing the 3XO and considering the base models like MX1 or MX2, my suggestion is simple: stretch your budget a bit and go for Revx M or M Optional.

You’ll get a much more stylish vehicle, better interiors, and added comfort without a massive price jump.

If you want even more — like a panoramic sunroof, turbocharged performance, and connected features — then Revx A makes a very strong case for itself.

Design-wise, the Revx trims look more refined and premium than their MX counterparts. The black-and-ivory interior theme, in particular, significantly elevates the overall cabin feel.
