MG Cyberster: A Speedy Electric Sports Car
If you’re after an electric car that combines breathtaking speed with head-turning style, the MG Cyberster delivers. More than just a visual stunner, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. Powered by a potent 77 kWh battery pack, it generates a massive 510 bhp and 725 Nm of torque. As a convertible, you can fold or close its roof at your convenience.
Design and Looks
The MG Cyberster’s design is reminiscent of luxury sports cars like Ferrari. Its doors open in a new, stylish vertical motion, giving it a unique look. This two-seater car features LED projector headlights and special aerodynamic spacing to improve airflow. Due to its low-slung profile and a ground clearance of just 116 mm, navigating certain Indian roads might be challenging.
The car is available in four colour options. It rides on large 20-inch alloy wheels with red callipers and disc brakes. The front tires are 245/45 R20, while the rear ones are a larger 275/35 R20.
Smart Features
This car is loaded with modern technology:
- Safety: It has four front parking sensors and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS). Sensors on the side prevent the doors from getting damaged if they open too wide.
- Camera: A 360-degree camera and a front camera make parking easy.
- Doors and Boot: The doors open and close with a special button, enhancing the user experience. The boot is quite spacious and includes a puncture repair kit and tool kit, though it’s not a power boot and must be opened and closed manually.
- Roof: The roof is made of three different materials, including carbon fibre.
- Range: On a full charge, the car offers a range of over 550 km.
Premium Interior
The MG Cyberster’s interior is very high-end, featuring three displays: a central 10.25-inch screen and two smaller 7-inch displays. It offers seamless connectivity with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
- Super Sports Mode: For thrill-seekers, there’s a “Super Sports” button that instantly provides maximum power.
- Seating: The seats are sporty, high-quality, and can be adjusted electrically.
- Music System: The car features a high-quality music system with speakers from Bose.
- Other Features: It also includes automatic wipers, an electric parking brake, and a touch-based centre console.
The car automatically starts when you unlock it, so there is no start-stop button. Its ex-showroom price in India is ₹74,99,000, and it is expected to cost around ₹78 lakh on the road.
